EPD Bride

These are my dear friends Kristin and Dominic.  Kristin asked me to design a necklace for her for a November wedding in 2007.  I've had more and more requests to design for brides, bridesmaids, mothers of the bride, you name it.  It's really fun to develop something that works with each bride's style and their dress instead of trying to find something off the rack.  I'm looking forward to working with more brides this year!

Spring Green

I've had three different people approach me this week about jewelry for this Spring.  My plan is to have a clearance sale soon and then to replenish with some new and fresh designs!  I'm really excited about all the inquiries and will be sure to document the results along the way.  If you have any special requests, this is the time to ask!

I'm particularly excited about a possible March wedding I may be providing jewelry for.  The bridesmaids dresses are navy and their flowers will be full of bright color!  She plans to decorate with fresh spring greens.  I love the idea of combining navy with a citric yellow green jade or jasper like this:

Beautiful Art Benefit

My sister, Melanie, is working with the Beautiful Africa Campaign to care for children affected by HIV/AIDS between 0 – 5 years of age.  She traveled to Beautiful Gate in Lesotho last year where she served the children of Lesotho.  Early May this year, Melanie will be hosting a Beautiful Art benefit.  This is a silent auction to raise awareness and funds for the children of Lesotho.  Melanie has been working on several art pieces for the benefit in our Uncle Ron and Aunt Karen's loft-studio in Yucaipa.  I saw a few of her works when visiting over New Years and would absolutely love every one of them in my home!

Melanie bought an Anthropologie dress to wear to the event that will be held at the Mitten Building in Redlands, CA on Friday, May 7.  She asked if I would design a necklace for her to wear with her dress.  Below is a sketch of the dress and some preliminary  ideas for necklaces.  I'm excited to see what she decides on and then to see the whole outfit come together.

East Pearl District Live

Dear EPD fans,

Over the past few years, many of you have asked if I had a website for you to shop.  I am working with Etsy to see if that might be a good place for me to start.  I am also working with Weebly as another option.  This blog will be a way for me to keep in touch with you along the way.  Thank you for being a faithful fan!

Love,
Amy
